E. Conrad House Tour on Tuesday, June 30 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.</strong>&nbsp; A "historic gem," the house "almost faced demolition to make way for a large, multifamily development." Purchased by "old house enthusiasts," the house, and its history, have been preserved. This is a tour you don’t want to miss!</p> <p>The A. E. Conrad House was constructed in Lewisville during 1856, by Augustus Eugene Conrad on land that he inherited from his grandfather “River John” Conrad. Originally a plantation that encompassed over 1000 acres, the land has been home to a fruit tree nursery, sawmill, river ferry, boxwood nursery, and community fishing pond.</p> <p>The cost of the tour is <strong>$25.00 for members and $35.00 for non-members</strong>. Refreshments will be served.
