Charlie Watkins, President
A native of both Winston-Salem and the Washington Park neighborhood, Charlie Watkins is proud to call this area home. Charlie has a passion for both power tools and historic architecture, allowing him to be an active member of the local preservation community. Before planting his roots in the historic Sunnyside neighborhood of Winston-Salem, he lived in Raleigh, Washington D.C. and most recently, Newcastle, England. Previously, Charlie was a co-owner of a local garden-design firm. His work can be seen in some of Winston-Salem’s finest neighborhoods.
With a degree in Conflict Analysis and Mediation from George Mason University,Charlie is a skilled facilitator in all of his relationships. Aside from his work at Leonard Ryden Burr, Charlie is an active local volunteer. He sits on the Board of Directors of the Washington Park Neighborhood Association, as President Elect of Preservation Forsyth, and is an active Big Brothers Big Sisters volunteer.
