Mission

To promote, protect and advocate for historic resources in Forsyth County.

Preservation Forsyth is a nonprofit membership organization that was founded in 2007 to provide a citizen voice for historic preservation in our community.

Preservation Forsyth is the only countywide organization devoted to the preservation of historic resources. We work to increase public awareness of the economic and cultural benefits of preserving all types of historic resources, ranging from buildings, landscapes, cemeteries, neighborhoods, bridges, dams, and roads.

We offer members a range of programs that include events at local historic landmarks, behind-the-scenes tours of historic properties, contests, preservation workshops, a newsletter about local preservation efforts and the Heritage Awards, which recognize outstanding local preservation efforts.

We welcome volunteers who are interested in promoting, protecting and advocating for historic resources. We’re supported by members, donors, grants and organizations.
