Historic PostCard Exhibit

  • 01 Dec 2021
  • 21 Jan 2022
  • 660 W Fifth St, Forsyth County Library Main Branch

We are excited that our Historic Postcard Exhibit first installed during Preservation Month 2021 is being re-installed for the months of December 2021 - January 2022. This exhibit is presented in partnership with the NC Collection of the Forsyth County Public Library, and may be viewed in the display cases surrounding the second floor entrance to the NC Collection in our Central Library. Much thanks to Karen Feeney, NC Collections Supervisor and Amy Ruhe, NC Collections Librarian and Archivist. We certainly want to also thank local postcard collectors Janet Helwig Fortney and Jason K. Hill for the loan of their collections as well as Aaron Green and Dean Sidden who have enriched our exhibit with contributions from their memorabilia collections. Postcard descriptions were written by Preservation Forsyth Board members: David Bergstone (President), Joyce Pope (past President), LeAnn Pegram (Vice-President), George Edwards (Chair, Advocacy Committee and Preservation Easements), Angie Edwards, and Martha L. Canipe (Community Outreach Coordinator). Please drop by during library hours, and explore the NC Collection during your visit as well.
