To promote, protect and advocate for historic resources in Forsyth County.
Membership Log In/Changes
Join Preservation Forsyth and the Ardmore Neighborhood Association for A Pop-Up Walking Tour of Lockland Avenue’s Endangered Houses and a Petition Signing on Wednesday, July 10 at 6:00 p.m. The tour will begin at the corner of Queen Street and Lockland Avenue.
There will be a brief introduction, then a short walk to see, and learn about, the history and architectural details of the houses that are threatened by neglect from Atrium Health Wake Baptist Health. Members of the Ardmore Neighborhood Association will be onsite and will have a petition that attendees can sign to promote the protection and rehabilitation of these historic houses. We will also have handouts with phone numbers to call to take additional action.
The tour is FREE and open to the public. While there is no limit on the number of attendees, and registration is not required to attend, we hope you will take a moment to register and let us know you are coming. Also, to facilitate the tour and avoid congestion, please park on Queen Street or near Lockland Park, and be sure to adhere to parking signs/directions.
