Celebrating Excellence in Historic Preservation!

The Preserve Historic Forsyth 2013 Awards will take place on Tuesday October 15th, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in the Historic West End.

Significant local projects, individuals and organizations will be recognized for historic preservation activities that have impacted our community. A wine and hors d'oeuvres reception begins at 5:30 followed by the Awards at 6:30 p.m.

Keynote Speaker Benjamin Briggs, Executive Director of Preservation Greensboro Inc. will speak about 'Strategies and Challenges of the Preservation Movement in 2013'. Briggs has restored several historic properties and served on both the High Point and Greensboro preservation commissions. He has compiled architectural surveys, penned a column on history and architecture for the High Point Enterprise and published a book "The Architecture of High Point". In 1993, Briggs received the Carraway Award of Merit from Preservation North Carolina.
