Journey to the 18th century at the reconstructed 1756 Palisade Fort in Historic Bethabara Park. Hayes Wauford of Wilson-Covington Construction Company will explain the research required to reconstruct the palisades and how historical authenticity was balanced with workability and longevity for the park.
The Palisade Fort is the only French and Indian War fort in the southeast reconstructed on its original site.
Learn about the reconstruction, then visit the archaeological ruins, reconstructed village, colonial and medical gardens, and nature trails.
Park at the Edwin L. Stockton Visitor Center and join us at the fort.
Ticketed tours of the exhibit buildings are also available through the center.
This event is FREE and open to the public.
1 HSW Continuing Education Credit is available for design professionals.
